Hi! I'm looking for a nice job that makes me feel good with what I'm doing. I am a Dev & Interaction designer hybrid — quite inventive and creative.

I've been really curious about how to use LLMs beyond the typical chatbot experience. I put together a small collection of experiments with funky UIs that leverage LLMs behind the scenes. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Does your company still practice stack ranking? Do you have a great team with nobody you're willing to lose in the next cull? I'm a queer artist who's barely scraping by. I will be happy to be your sacrificial goat for the small price of a year of your fancy-ass tech salary. I will get next to nothing done, at an exceedingly slow pace.

In the unlikely event that anyone here is actually looking for a real human artist, my site is http://egypt.urnash.com. I used to be an animator but I burnt way the heck out on that twenty years ago. Mostly I draw comics and furry porn.

edit: also if your team is like 90% furries then I may be convinced to spend part of that year I'm holding down the Worst Performer slot on drawing some outrageous smut of your fursonas, no promises until we've looked at the intersections of our f-lists

Hi HN,

We’re a small team of experienced developers based in the EU, looking for new contract opportunities. We're at a transition point and open to engaging with new projects, especially those that value deep technical expertise and long-term reliability.

We’ve worked across various hardware/software domains, including embedded systems, custom operating systems, and networked IoT platforms. Some highlights of our work:

  next comment
Core Team:

Me – Product manager, embedded senior dev, hardware design reviewer, Threos OS architect, C/C++/asm/Python/JS and others, some Django, 3D design

    Teammate 1 – Software developer/designer (C/C++ and others)

Teammate 2 – Software developer/designer (C/C++, JavaScript, TypeScript and others)
We also work with a wider circle of trusted collaborators: industrial designers, hardware engineers, generalist devs, and subcontractors as needed.

We love working on challenging technical projects—especially those involving embedded systems, custom hardware, or low-level software. We're not afraid to roll our own solutions when needed, whether that's a communication protocol, a lightweight virtual machine, or a custom scheduler. If you think we might be a good fit for your team or project, feel free to reach out at andy@threos.io. We'd love to hear from you.

I'm an ML engineer/ML research engineer looking for roles where there are gradients to descend, models to build, and/or datasets to gather. In general I want to advance the frontier of what's possible. My credentials are more towards research engineering than applied work, but I'm open to both. My last job was as a contract research engineer doing AI safety work at Redwood Research. I spent about half my time on our synthetic datasets of safe & unsafe LLM behavior, and the other half on fancy finetuning. I finetuned an LLM to exhibit unsafe behavior while fooling logistic probes trained to detect it, but only in deployment. Weird multi-part composite loss. My other big project is independent research in text-to-image models that are trained solely on unlabeled image data, exploiting CLIP embeddings for the link between text and images. If nothing goes horribly wrong I'll be submitting a paper for ICLR in about 7 weeks.

If you need help getting ML systems up and running, getting them fast and correct, or if any of that stuff sounds interesting to you, get in touch.

I'm an AI engineer and senior full-stack developer with an aspiration for a team/product lead or CTO-like position. For ~7 years, I was co-founder and CTO of an ed-tech company called amy.app. My co-founder and I scaled the fully-remote company to about 25 employees. Before that, I earned a PhD in Human-Robot Interaction in NZ and Oxford. I've used the past year contracting, after winding down my company, to learn and apply as much as possible about AI solutions. I'm talking; RAG (Multiple TB), Agentic-Search, Deep-Research, LLM based email automation, AI-tools, MCP, Vibe-Coding,... Currently, I'm designing and working on an agentic enterprise search engine for the AEC industry for a customer (Supabase + Vercel AI SDK, Mastra, Multi-Modal Embedding, etc.)

I'm very product/customer-focused and pragmatic. I like to move super fast (not only because of Cursor :D).

My dream environment is an early-stage, fully remote startup.

PS: I have a family, which means the main compensation via shares isn't an option for me.

Hello! I'm a software developer with lots of experience in full stack and backend development. I was most recently a developer at SirusXM Radio until I was laid off recently. The languages I've used the most are Java, C++, Ruby ( Ruby on Rails ), Python, and JavaScript. I've also worked over a year in a classified setting and I still hold a security clearance. I'm looking for a junior/entry level software engineer position.

I attended Virginia Tech for three years and studied Computer Science and Math. I got the core CS curriculum completed; the part I didn't complete were the electives. I had to stop attending because I ran out of money.

Due to my current financial situation, unfortunately I'll require a salary position - no equity only.

With all that said, I'm open to having a conversation with anyone. Thanks! :)

I'm a fullstack developer with a preference for backend work and pretty good at integrations.

I have 5 years of experience writing full-stack, tested, and validated code across several projects at a software consulting firm. I worked directly with clients and led internal teams to meet clients' business goals. Basically, I have experience solving a wide array of problems spanning a variety of industries, and I care about the product and its users.

Interested in horses? I'd love to tell you about the horse adoption platform I built! (Yes, this was just an excuse to talk about the project I'm most excited about.)

I'm looking for a senior-track/mid-level software engineering role at a product-focused company. I left the role I held for 5 years to learn new things - so although I have a soft spot for Ruby on Rails/React projects, I'm also excited to learn about other languages/frameworks.

I'm excited to be on a team and can't wait to join the next one!

I still find the time to write code both with my students and my own. Delivering high-quality code along with any work I publish is very important to me.

I'm interested in either senior software/data engineering or data science roles. The technology used is less important to me than an interesting product and a great team. I have a lot of experience picking up new tech quickly and I'm looking forward to using that in new ways.

Hello, I'm a senior (11+ years) fullstack dev looking for secondary job part time, between 5 and 10 days, US timezone possible (would fit right after my main job). Development or maintenance. I like working clean and fast, improving development tools to increase velocity / faster debugging (writing short babel ast analyzers at the moment). Fluent enough in English to hold conf calls with US teams. I'm proactive, averagely nice and well rounded. Seeking very high speed teammates, I enjoy learning new paradigms too. Willing to lower hourly rate in the 40-50 usd range if needs be. Volunteering is possible depending on the domain.

Also open to FP or logic programming (lisp/clojure, haskell/scala, prolog). Especially highly formal/industrial model-driven environment.

Thanks in advance for reading

I'm Zachary. I've been writing software for about 25 years, mostly with things around the Web though I have worked a bit with hardware and IoT. Notably I've worked at large tech companies like Google (itself, Fiber, and Checks) and Block/Square, as well as others like Opendoor and Cerner.

Lately I've been building TypeScript heavy full-stack stuff. I would consider myself a fullstack-capable engineer but have swung probably 60/40 in both directions at different times.

Email: allthecool@peoplehire.me (Yes, this is real and yes, it's worth the $4 I spent on it)
I'm a full-stack software engineer with infra expertise that can lead teams and take projects from sketch to shipped. I've bootstrapped full-stack apps, modernized old Struts apps before they spilled data, reverse-engineered monstrous Rails codebases, built out multi-cloud infrastructure with third-party legacy VPN appliances in the mix, written Kubernetes Admissions Controllers, locally debugged services that need three reverse proxies to even function, and just this morning even managed to use my Aeropress inverted without spilling coffee all over my counter.

I'd be a great fit for a medium-sized org or startup with PMF that wants to start building things on a good foundation. I also have experience building and working in regulated environments (e.g. HIPAA, PCI, SOC2). I promise I'm less cheeky and more technical when you talk to me. Give me a shout!

    Willing to relocate: Maybe
    Technologies: Go, C, eBPF, Linux
    Résumé/CV: on request
    Email: jobs@lmb.io
Systems engineer with ten years of experience building performance critical software. The past couple of years I’ve been maintaining the most popular Go library for working with eBPF (used by DataDog, Microsoft, etc.) and have contributed to the Linux network stack, the Go standard library and other high profile open source projects. Before that I built Quicksilver (global distributed db) and Unimog (anycast L4 load balancer) at Cloudflare. In my spare time I’ve dabbled in embedded operating systems, virtual machine monitors and emulators.

I’m self taught, learn by doing and enjoy going deep on a specific subject. After working as a fully remote open source maintainer I’m looking for a small team that values collaborating in person, in a strategic role owning a domain or problem space, with a view to leading a team.

I’m curious about problems that require exceptional performance and / or reliability in areas like power infrastructure, renewable energy, operating AI models at scale, non-LLM AI, hardware.

I'm a Product Engineer and a creative based in London. I’ve built full-stack applications across web, mobile, blockchain and embedded platforms. My client-side work includes React, Electron, Roku’s Scenegraph, and native iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI, always with a strong focus on UX and design-first thinking. On the service-side, I’ve worked with traditional service hosting, containers, and serverless, including (but not limited to) AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, Workers, CloudFormation, SAM CLI, nodejs, bunjs, MySQL, Postgres, NoSQL, grpc, Redis, Docker, nginx, and a few legacy tools best left unnamed (yes, including CodeIgniter and ftp).

I’ve also developed developer tools like CLIs and SDKs, primarily JavaScript land, and have written code in systems languages such as Rust and Zig.

In the AI space, I’ve integrated models via the OpenAI SDK, leveraged prompts, LLMs, and explored LangChain/LangGraph.

I care about clean code, great UX, developer experience, documentation (yes), rapid iteration and automating workflows with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Bash scripts, etc).

Website : https://burhanrashid52.com

My name is Burhanuddin Rashid, and I am a software engineer with 8+ years of experience in developing mobile applications. I am an open-source enthusiast and a Google Developer Expert in Dart and Flutter.

I owe most of my career to the open-source community. I got exposed to this when I open-sourced my first Android PhotoEditor library, which reached around 3.8K stars and is still active. This led me to an opportunity to speak at Droidcon Berlin 2021, sharing my open-source learnings.

My biggest contribution so far in the product was to improve code and app quality by introducing testing to the team. Before that, I was the Android tech lead to build an offline-first app to manage package delivery with real-time location tracking, collaborating with a remote team. Apart from this, I've also worked on web and backend technologies like React and Spring Boot, which gives me additional knowledge of how the system works end-to-end.

Also, in my free time, I learn and share my knowledge by writing blogs, newsletters, Youtube videos, or speaking at conferences.

I'm a developer who believes code isn't valuable unless it's used. That's why I start with conversations, not commits. I work to understand real problems before reaching for shiny new packages. I build tools that are simple, effective, and easy to adopt. My goal is always to solve the problem and make sure people know there’s a solution.

In my next role, I'm looking to work with a team that values clarity and impact. I'm especially interested in data heavy environments where thoughtful tooling can make workflows better.

Most recently, I built [Buckaroo](https://github.com/paddymul/buckaroo) an open source data table for Jupyter using Pandas/Polars. It combines fast rendering, summary stats, and a low-code UI. It scratches an itch I've had for over a decade and has already streamlined my own analysis workflow.

Looking for security engineer roles. For the past 5 years I have been building security tooling that internal teams can make use of. I work closely with other teams to help improve the security posture of their apps. I help write documentation and host department wide presentations to educate others about web app security and steps they can take to make apps more secure. I took on the responsibility of managing our H1 Bug Bounty Program which previously was failing SLA targets by 10+ months and managed to bring it down to days. I have helped mentor interns and junior developer and also been active in conducting pair programming interviews for future candidates. What you get from me is a go-getter, self-motivated individual. My name is Nate Bennett. I reside Thousand Oaks, Ca with my beautiful wife of almost 15yrs and 3 children.

I'm a product-minded engineer who loves to think through and map out the opportunities and problems associated with developing a product.

I have founding experience and I have worked remote for much of my career, thriving with both autonomy and team-based projects. In previous roles I have worked with designers to create user-friendly interfaces and interactions from Figma designs and through customer feedback as well as building out database schemas and APIs.

As a former professional athlete, I am looking to join a team where teamwork is paramount and opportunities for growth and learning from others are a daily occurrence.

I’m currently developing a SaaS application called “Great Job!,” a productivity platform for job hunters, learning roadmaps, and AI-enhanced portfolio creation workflows. I'm very interested in AI Engineering and have began to dive deeper into AI topics and use it daily to augment my coding.

Away from the computer I enjoy working out in my garage gym, playing guitar, and playing with my kids.

I am seeking a Position which is Technically Interesting. I would like to be part of a Team working towards a common goal that improves Society, rather than a collection of Individuals connected only by their Salaries at a megacorporation. I am not searching for any specific Job Title - you may be looking for a Software Engineer, Business Analyst, Technical Manager, Security Researcher, Systems Architect, or maybe just a part-time Consultant. In my career since 1995 I have chased bizarre memory-alignment performance regressions in C code for a Physics library, built distributed database replication systems with leader-election consensus, chased timing issues within Multiplayer game protocols, implemented Financial audit controls to identify untrustworthy employee behaviour, built Monitoring & Active DevOps response systems for “Five-ish Nines” Uptimes of customer Environments, designed and installed redundant Low-Voltage and High-Voltage Electrical systems on Ships (DP2 standards) and in Data Centers, performed physical security penetration testing for Restricted Sites, and participated in a takeover of the Global Domain Name System’s root servers.

I’m an ML researcher/engineer at MIT + CS/Linguistics undergrad at Northeastern, looking for freelance roles or internships/co-ops (Jan–Aug 2026) in ML, backend, full-stack, or systems. Also willing to be recruited on an O-1 to the right startup.

Currently interning at a YC W25 startup Mosaic (usemosaic.ai) where I:

- Built the public API, our MCP server, and a video agent that turns longform content into shorts with auto captions and posts them

- Helped scale us to 100+ paying users in closed beta, 4k on the waitlist, and we're launching before my internship ends so you'll probably hear about us soon

Also built SHFLA (https://github.com/tetraslam/SHFLA), a fractal music language that won the MIT Media Lab hackathon, hit HN front page, and got me demo requests from Stephen Wolfram, David Sinclair, Joscha Bach, and Suno AI.

I move fast, write clean code, and deliver 10x what you pay me. I'm also very fun to hang around with and work with! Have several references who can vouch :)

hi! I'm David, a software/devops engineer with a passion for grit and going from 0 to 1. I've been building software and infrastructure for over 10 years, and most recently have built enterprise B2B SaaS products for organizations in the cybersecurity space.

I am open to both full-time and contract engagements.

I don't particularly enjoy coasting or clocking out at 5pm (mostly since I'm a night owl), so I'm looking for opportunities where I can move fast, build, ship fast, contribute the most value, and grow. If my skills and experience seem like a good fit for your needs, please reach out!

nobennies

Location: North Carolina, USA

Remote: Probably required - far from a large city. Wouldn't have an issue with limited travel.

Technologies: AWS, Terraform, Python, TypeScript, Terraform, React, FastAPI, Postgres, Docker

Current: Contract work for [x] company doing RLHF / benchmark testing AI models in software dev, computer science and other areas. Sometimes its writing scripts to web scrape large data sets. Sometimes its coming up with input data for real world scenarios and benchmark testing models. It moves fast and varies a lot from quarter to quarter. Sometimes its working on Python tools for agents.

Prior: Grew up wannabe hacker in the 90s on AOL and IRC. Wrote my first programs in Visual Basic 3.0 and first websites on Angelfire and Geocities. Freelance web dev in the 2000s and founded/sold a few websites(nothing major obviously but led to some jobs at other places).

Education / Certs: AWS certifications. Current contract work requires many rounds of grueling FAANG type DSA questions with graphs and algorithm analysis before getting access to high paying work. No formal CS education but I do self-study CS with things Intro to Algs book, Coursera's Intro to Algos. Those qualifications were stressful and the hardest I've experienced yet in an interview. Pretty sure I was aging three times quicker than usual while doing them. I imagine most of my analysis was wrong on many questions but I did get some code to pass tests.

Seeking: I don't know. Current gig pays well but no benefits and inconsistent work from quarter to quarter. I love helping people, making demo videos/blogs/projects, writing documentation. I have a little bit of experience in a lot of areas, and work on review teams + Slack chats helping new colleagues.

I'm a full-stack developer with 7+ years of experience in startups trenches.

Here are the biggest projects I've worked on + a single feature that demonstrates my impact on product and/or technical chops :

Fanfest – fanfest.vip - Community engagement platform for soccer fans. Built a browser-based live streaming engine that lets streamers broadcast directly from their browsers in both 16:9 and 9:16 at 1080p (and lower resolutions), with simultaneous streaming to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, and X.com.

Pequity – pequity.com - Compensation management platform for mid-to-large organizations. Built V2 for offer approval chains, reducing complexity and fixing HUGE performance issues. For example, in the worst case scenarion in V1 for a single request it would take 2 minutes to finish. In V2 it's 970ms.

Haekka – haekka.com - Security and compliance training integrated with workplace tools. Developed a system for automatically assigning users training based on non-compliant events like exporting sensitive keys they did in AWS/Slack/Gmail.

Flox – flox.app - App facilitating social connections by helping friend groups meet. Used Postgis to build an algorithm for auto check-in system for event attendance.

Hi, I'm Harry Altman! I was the maintainer of Truffle Debugger (https://github.com/trufflesuite/truffle/tree/develop/package...), a Solidity smart contract debugger, for 5 years. I eventually ended up writing my own decoding and encoding libraries to support it, as well as a bunch of other things.

I'm good at this sort of nitpicky work, spotting and thinking about edge cases. I like getting things exactly right, even though that obviously isn't always possible due to various constraints. I've been kind of wondering if I should get into embedded development; I find it appealing when things are low-level or similarly constrained. I've beaten Microcorruption. :) (The original levels, I haven't played the new ones.)

I'm also quite interested in unusual or obscure data formats, and working on Truffle Debugger and its associated libraries certainly involved a bunch of having to figure undocumented formats and interfaces. :) I put down above what languages I've worked substantially in but I'd say I'm a generalist and will figure out whatever you give me (I knew approximately no Javascript, Typescript, or Solidity when I started working at Consensys).

I'm a mathematician by background and in my spare time, so after the Truffle Debugger project was shut down I took some time off to focus on my mathematical projects. But now I'm looking for work again! If you need someone like me, I'm available for hire!

Senior/Staff Engineer with a deep focus on backend, ops, and architecture. Can also get in there and knock out frontend features if nec, but don't prefer architechting there. I build durable, scalable systems and have a knack for mentoring teams and leading projects.

I solve problems at every level of abstraction—from the 10,000-foot view down to the code you don't have to write. My first career as a social worker and policy statistician means I never forget the 'who' and 'why' behind the technology. I've been building for the web since '95 and have worked at every stage of startup, plus solo consulting.

I have a special love for complex system design, wrangling crappy third-party APIs, and hunting down really weird bugs. I can step in as a PM in a pinch, but I'd rather work with your great PMs.

Also open to short-term engagements around a specific issue (performance bottlenecks, test suite optimization, a particular stuck feature, etc) at a weekly rate.

I'm looking for a team that genuinely believes their work is making the world a bit better (or even... a lot!)

Technologies: VP Product (AI), Game Design, Complex Systems, Data Architecture, Ships Products People Love
I was #1 on HN last month with my semantic analysis of English. Now I'm looking to help another technical product become more human.

What I deliver (bringing 10 years of indie puzzle gaming insights to software):

* Tutorial thinking - Design onboarding where users learn by doing, not reading docs

* Progressive complexity - Reveal features as users are ready, not all at once

* Intrinsic motivation - Create products people use because they want to, not have to

* Discovery moments - Build "aha!" experiences into routine workflows

* Natural sharing - Design features worth showing off (no forced virality)

* Satisfaction loops - Make the 100th use as rewarding as the first

Previously: SpicyNodes (40M users), time.gov (2M monthly), medical AI for 1.5M patients. PI on $295K NSF SBIR. I excel at the intersection of technical depth and human understanding - whether building atomic clock interfaces or language models.

Seeking: VP Product or CPO role at companies building AI products. Particularly interested in semantic search, knowledge tools, or creative AI applications. I lead teams of creative and technical people, and leverage those same skills to architect and ship production code (Swift, Python, etc.) via modern AI tools - decades of managing developers taught me exactly how to direct technical work.

Hello!

I am a senior full-stack developer with over 5 years of experience building applications for the United States weather service (NOAA, NWS, OHD, NOMADS, etc.), Minnesota schools, and non-profit organizations. I started out building front-end apps and grew to love the back-end/cloud as well (it is so nice to write database/API/CMS/cloud helper programs quickly in Node, Python, Go, C++, etc.!). My most involved project was working across the stack on a hole-in-one application for the weather service that consolidates a suite of old applications. I am flexible and love wearing many hats of technologies & procedures. My previous work comrades always described me as high-spirited, excited, and always amped to take on challenging tickets (for example: I built a node.js helper application to migrate 10,000+ vanilla JS/HTML web pages to a tricky CMS).

I'm all sparkles when it comes to full-stack development! I am actively looking for remote full-time or contract work. While that for loop is running, I am deep diving into new tech/AI && full stack projects, such as the Stone King Wiki, Magic: The Gathering Assistant v2, and a touch-focused app similar to what Hans Zimmer uses as the primary console for extending his music composition capabilities.

I'm a senior software engineer with 10+ years of experience building full-stack systems at the intersection of hardware and software. Most recently I led AR/VR automation at Meta, built real-time performance tracing tools with Perfetto, and drove CPU/GPU profiling pipelines for next-gen wearable devices. Before that, I verified phased-array antenna hardware and built full-stack systems for the HAPS project (SoftBank acquisition).

I love turning messy real-world systems into interactive software tools. My skillset spans system design and integration, high-throughput automation, and modern tech stacks. I’m especially into creative 3D UIs, live visualization of physical systems, and tools that empower engineers and artists.

I'm looking for teams solving weird problems that may have physical interfaces, spatial tech, or just need a hacker who figures stuff out and makes it feel polished. Growth-stage startups or skunkworks teams are ideal.

I'm a full-stack engineer with 8+ years personal experience writing Rust. I think that high performance and correctness doesn't need to come at the cost of development speed, and I've tried to spend my career learning ways to accomplish that. I've dabbled in many different areas and can pick new things up pretty quickly. Professionally I've worked on distributed systems, embedded networking, and scripting integrations. I'm currently trying to learn formal verification.

Hey HN

I’m a software engineer with 3+ years of experience building scalable backend systems in Java/Spring Boot and PostgreSQL, and developing real-time infra in Python and C++.

At my current role, I’ve built microservices, secure auth systems, and REST APIs at scale. Before that, I worked on safety-critical tooling at Bosch. I’ve also deployed fullstack AI products using FastAPI and React.

Looking for backend or fullstack roles on fast-paced engineering teams—infra, SaaS, devtools, or AI-adjacent.

Location: EU

Remote: Yes, EU timezones preferred

Willing to relocate: Depends on the location (but with a strong bias for EU-Schengen/US locations)

Technologies: Java, Python (and variants thereof like Groovy, Clojure, Pypy), Node/TS | AWS/Lambda Serverless, GCE/Kubernetes | Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB

Resume: https://bit.ly/3B3o65M (It links to my CV repo at Github, pinky promise. You can also visit github.com/<hnusername>.)

I'm not actively looking (hence why my resume link is obfuscated like that) but I'm at least interested in getting a feel for the market right now. That said, I'm willing to consider a position with a great fit for my skill set and career goals.

Here's my pitch: I have experience in a multitude of industries and positions. From improving legacy infra and processes in an established telco company to scaling a fast-moving startup from 200K to 2M users. In my free time, I love writing Code That Is Poetry but day-to-day I am not an idealist engineer who doesn't compromise. Well-engineered code is clean and correct but correct above all else.

Oh, also, I'm great at writing documentation. I consider myself introverted but apparently my communication skills are above average for Software Engineers. I also pride myself on my humility and modesty.

I'm currently a backend engineer developing features and improving infra for an online game with millions of daily active users. I'd love to explore other technical positions in the games industry short of joining a AAA studio because (a) I don't want to crunch and (b) my skill set does not lay that way; other tech-creative industries would also appeal to me! Another particular interest is in B2C businesses where the 'C' is software developers. I'd love to chat and network about opportunities; if you think you have a product that could benefit from my skill set, drop me a line!

Seeking: Any role that I can use my technical skills in. Security analyst, consultant, technical support etc. I'm pretty desperate to be candid.

Misc: I have over two years of full-time security consulting and blue team experience at NCC Group and Black Lantern Security. Also, I have two 0days and received CVEs under my name and a company research blog post to go along with it. Done contracting for FAANGs and found 0days in their products. Worked at IBM as a programmer too.

I'm eligible for a security clearance and willing to do government work. Already passed a FSP once, but was denied agency specific suitability.

I have experience in Android and computer vision. In both of these positions I was naturally inclined to go beyond the expectations of the role to work with more of the stack, like higher-level work on our CI/CD pipeline and lower-level work on a C++ project.

I'm open to anything, yes Android and machine learning roles but also full stack, backend, devops, or anything else. I have broad experience and interests and am a quick learner.

Technologies: High-throughput data pipelines, Cloud computing, Machine learning, Neurotech, Python, C/C++, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Bash, Qt, Redis, MQTT, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS (S3, EC2), Git, MATLAB, Electrophysiology, IoT systems, Time-series analysis, Containerized workflows, and Brain-computer interfaces.

Bio: I recently completed my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UC Santa Cruz, where I focused on data engineering, cloud computing, and IoT systems for high-throughput biological data. I build full-stack platforms for time-series data acquisition and cloud pipelines that handle terabytes of data per day per system. My recent work involved modeling complex biological signals using techniques like hidden Markov models and SVD, building longitudinal tracking algorithms, and running real-time experimental feedback systems. In one project, my cloud-based neurotechnology platform was used to remotely detect and stop seizure activity in live human brain tissue.

I’ve built tools now used by multiple labs nationwide, published in Nature Neuroscience, and open-sourced several platforms including braingeneerspy, mission_control, and piphys. My contributions have supported multiple successful grant applications, helping our research group secure millions in funding from sources including the NSF, NIH, and private foundations.

I’m looking for roles where I can keep solving hard problems at the interface of hardware, software, and data; particularly in bioengineering, neurotechnology, or scientific computing startups.

I’m confident I can bring value to your team, whether in industry or research. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect.

I am a software engineer with mastery of the full software development lifecycle, from build systems to observability. I was most recently at Amazon for seven years, where I focused on designing, implementing, and operating tools and services that had organization- and company-wide impact, with my last four years focused on developer productivity and services. One of the achievements I am proud of was scaling the automated build fleet used for builds in CI/CD pipelines for all of Amazon four times, up to over 5,000 worker hosts, handling hundreds of millions of build tasks weekly.

I'm looking for my next challenge, and am looking to relocate to New York City for a hybrid/on-site role, though am also interested in the right remote role. My experience is varied, from devops to platform engineering to developer tools and services. I'm looking to level up my development skills and collaborate with talented people on challenging problems.
